OMG. I don’t know about you, but if there’s one word that keeps echoing in my life right now, it’s
patience.
Last week, after much anticipation, we brought home our new shedding machine. Beau is a 3-year-old Collie who has never lived in a house until now. He came from an amazing kennel full of noise, activity, and lots of puppy bums to sniff. I swear, some days he feels like he has been kidnapped and sentenced to a boring life with his new humans… who prefer not to sniff bums.
Needless to say, there’s a whole lot of adjusting going on. We are both trying to figure him out, and at the same time, he’s questioning why he’s been abducted to a new
planet.
But let’s back up the bus for a moment. Last December, I had a dream about Beau. Not one dream, but two. I don’t typically remember my dreams, so this one naturally captured my attention. It was 2 weeks before we had to say goodbye to our perfect dog, Piper.
☹
Piper was already busy finding us our next perfect dog. Three weeks after Piper passed, her breeder reached out to offer us the dog I had seen in my dreams! You just can’t make this stuff up.
Beau has only been with us for 4 days, and I already know why he was chosen for us.
This Aries needed to learn PATIENCE!
Beau is a bit of a nerd and a complete Nervous Nelly. He constantly reminds me that you can’t rush the process. He’s teaching me that love, trust and confidence don’t follow a timeline.
For now, I am choosing to focus on the most important thing I can do right now.
Celebrate how far I have come instead of obsessing on how far I have yet to go.Maybe you, too, can relate.
Let’s face it. Most of us feel like we should be further ahead, doing more, achieving more. But in this 9 Universal Year, the call to slow down, reflect, and
let go is louder than ever.
Here’s something you may not know.
April is the month when our Personal Year energy really kicks in. The dust of the previous year settles, and we start to
feel the rhythm of our current Personal Year cycle. Believe it or not, if you’ve been feeling sluggish and directionless, you’re not behind. You're right on time.
Numerologically, April 2025 also carries the energy of a
Karmic Debt 13/4 month, which can bring obstacles, delays, and frustrations. This is especially true when we try to push too hard or try to control the outcome.
But here’s the empowering part. We always get to choose how we approach the obstacle! The 13/4 is about putting in the effort to build something sustainable while at the same time asking for humility, flexibility, and the willingness to take the “long way” if that’s what’s needed. No shortcuts this month!
That’s where patience becomes not just helpful, but essential.
Even the word
patience carries a powerful message. When we reduce the letters of "patience" using the Pythagorean system, we arrive at the number
7.
Makes sense, right? The number 7 is the number of inner wisdom, spiritual growth, and trust in divine timing. The 7 asks us to pause, go inward, and resist the urge to force outcomes.
Remember that the 9 year is the final year in the numerology cycle when we’re asked to clear the clutter, emotionally and energetically. The 9 isn’t about sprinting to the finish line. It’s about honoring the full journey, releasing what’s no longer serving us, and making peace with where we are. Even if that includes a dog who’s afraid of his own shadow and drools like an indoor pony.
Dare I say, this is where patience comes in. It’s not about waiting passively in the weeds. This is about choosing to trust that even when we
can’t see the growth, something is still unfolding beneath the surface. Can I get an amen??
So today, I invite you to:
- Reflect on what you’ve already created this year. Let’s focus on not just the visible accomplishments but also your internal shifts.
- Let go of timelines and comparisons. (Beau isn’t Piper!)
- And give yourself full permission to rest, trust, and be. And maybe even treat yourself to a new mop if that proves necessary.
Remember that patience isn’t
just a virtue. Patience is a form of personal
power, especially as we shift into your personal year's energy.
Here’s something to think about… Try asking yourself:
“Where in my life can I celebrate my progress rather than focusing on what’s still left unfinished?” Everyone has a “Beau” in some form or another. What has your "Beau" been teaching you about patience lately?
Remember to trust in the divine timing in your life.
Everything is unfolding as it should be, even when your house is buried in tumbleweeds
of fur and your windows are suddenly frosted.
One thing remains certain. I am confident that you are patiently creating your best month ever.
